The concept of juxtaposed images is primary in the creation of comics. Will Eisner’s definition of comics as “Sequential Art” is no accident. Deciding how to break down the panels in a comics narrative is the most crucial element of building a story properly.

Starting from the first narrative unit, the comic strips, we will use this workshop to negotiate the basic functions of planning, dialogue, structure and development of a short comics story.
