Petros Baltas

Petros Baltas was born in Athens in 1996. He studied ιn Secondary Art School and graduated from Panteion University as a Social Anthropologist.

In 2011, he won the 2nd award in UNESCO’s world storyboard contest. In 2012, he participated in the illustration of the children’s book CHILDREN OF NEED (published by Dromon). The same year, Petros Baltas’ comic entitled “Οnly Dead Fish Go With The Flow” was published in NEO EPIPEDOmagazine, as part of the 2nd Panhellenic Comics Festival. In 2014, he was awarded by the YouthActiv European educational program for the stop motion animation film ME AND EUROPE.

He is the illustrator of the graphic novel series 1908 (Belle Époque publications) which turns the history of Panathinaikos Athletic Club into a comic book. In December 2018 the first volume of 1908 entitled “The Birth Of An Idea” was published. In 2019-2020 four more volumes were published, titled “Green Revolution’’, ‘’Jump In Eternity’’, ‘’When They See The Shamrock’’ and ‘’Hooray, They Say Panathinaikos’’.

Nikos Tzouannis’ book ELEVEN US (Belle Époque publications), was illustrated by Petros Baltas in 2021. Highlight of the year was that the anniversary logo that he created, was chosen by Panathinaikos FC, in the context of a competition for the 50 years from the final of Wembley.
